Dyl 4 Report post Posted January 29, 2010 (edited) Nice work Dylan! Did you get it from Matt? Thanks everyone I did get it from Matt, he was great to deal with. Friend of yours? Unfortunately I can't make it to the anniversary drive but we will just have to make time for another one!!! I had my eye on this before I the tracked the R32 Golf but for the record, Golf is an awesome town and open road car...rubbish on the track. This is a far better all rounder I think but a little impractical. You have to make some sacrifices I guess. hybrid 1044 Report post Posted January 31, 2010 That is intense! Where do i get one Hybrid? Awesome roadster Dylan, definately tint! German ... need to run Alpha-N software, adapter and sensors to run it on the stock DME and without a MAF. Essentially is just running the ECU with MAP instead. Lots of dyno time and re-mapping to get it to work properly.
nastnas 9 Report post Posted January 31, 2010 Essentially is just running the ECU with MAP instead. Lots of dyno time and re-mapping to get it to work properly. that is not correct, Alpha N uses RPM and throttle position as the axis for the spark and fuel maps. whereas normal speed density algorithms use Manifold pressure and RPM as the axis for the spark and fuel maps. mass air flow sensors are used as well, as they can be equated to engine load, ie Manifold absolute Pressure (MAP). I know how, I've megasquirted my previous car, running both algortithms ( not at the same time )
hybrid 1044 Report post Posted January 31, 2010 .. dont you hate it when you leave the work 'like' out of a sentence. End of the day you need to run a Alpha-N module and sensors to get this to work _properly_ on the standard DME. Using a stand alone is cheating such as

Hi-Tek 3 Report post Posted February 6, 2010 Where'd you take the pics? There's a dead give-away in the background Nice car Dylan, I was lucky enough to be taken for a spin a week or so ago. Very impressive. I think you need to track down the owner of Gerry Hodges old yellow M Coupe and buy those super hot staggered schnitzer rims off him.
bravo 35 Report post Posted February 6, 2010 Not a fan of those rims Josh - one size too big - makes it look like a cartoon car. This works, but a bit common Or this: But my fav is this (please ignore the disgusting bodywork - just look at the wheels)
