E30 TOURING-My new Pride and joy

Recommended Posts

Quick update.

I "smoked" the tails and indicators today using tamiya model paint, but ran out doing the tailights therefore arent as dark as was intending.

I reckon it looks a hole lot better. What do you think?

Tints are to come soon...

looks good, but they're pretty dark!

Yeah, got carried away doing the indicators.... didn't realise how dark they were untill put them on the car. :/

Loving the wagon man, to be perfectly honest though I think you would be better off with the full red tail light look. My 2c.

Nice wagon! Those wheels are mint mate. Just a bit of paint and they will be sorted!

Yeah i've grown to like the wheels. Found out they are ATS brand and are 16x7's et25. Made in germany.

Can you give a step by step of how you did your rear lights/indicators? It'd be greatly appreciated.

I have done very little to the touring since i have owned it, other than maintenance.

Am very interested at painting the centre of wheels,

Decided to give them a tape up today (since im hopeless on photoshop) to give me a general idea to what it would look like.

Would love to hear your opinions!? Any further Ideas??

Do you think it's better? Worse?

Cheers

IMO Paint the side skirts white before you do anything to the wheels.

Over past week or so car has had a bit of a birthday.

Which Means NEW engine!

M20 2.5l

Managed to score a wrecked 325i, for a good price, so salvaged the engine, did some maintanence while it was out, involving, Cambelt, oil filter, Thermostat, spark plugs, water pump and a few other things.

Put engine in this weekend, and am noticing a big difference in Power :D. All though fuel consumption is killing me...

Car also got some tints, 35%

And a Fibreglass iS lip.

Paint side skirts, and front lip tommorow
