3 SERIES 93 Report post Posted March 11, 2010 (edited) Do a search. Been discussed plenty of times. From memory they're 5.25" in the front and 4" in the rear. Edited March 11, 2010 by 3 SERIES
Mark 178 Report post Posted March 11, 2010 Always, 5.25" in front... can vary in back. Either 4" or 5.25" depending on spec of sound system.
Mark 178 Report post Posted March 12, 2010 Sorry, but rears are definitely 4" or 5.25" and fronts are definitely 5.25". Check out Bavarian soundwerks who supply direct drop-in replacement speakers for the E36. They quote the exact same sizes I have. cliffdunedin 8 Report post Posted March 12, 2010 Thnaks guys. I really want to keep the interior reasonably stock without holes cut everywhere or 6x9's in the back...now to find some nice sounding 4's and 5.25's. chur
danthaman01 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2010 fronts are 5.25 inch holes i run these suckers in the front, im pretty impressed with them.. they fit perfectly i was worried about the magnet depth but worked out fine http://www.fusioncaraudio.com/new-zealand-...44-product.aspx
rogan 7 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 There's no real point changing the rear speakers. 4" aren't going to do that well regardless of what you buy. Spend more cash on the front speakers instead. Even if you've got the 5.25 rears I'd leave them factory and spend the cash on the fronts instead.

cliffdunedin 8 Report post Posted March 15, 2010 I was thinking of doing something similar with the 6" Pioneer Kevlars i have...i also think i will def spend some $ on some decent fronts and tweeters.
