You talking a euro plate??

I used double sided moulding tape.

No mounts. No holes. Tidy.

Or you can buy the proper holders off the likes of Germanplates.com.

BMW NZ dealers just drill holes and screw them on if that helps ;)

yeahh mate suggested tape, don't wanna go down the sticky road.

Rather just find some rubber mounts for the screws..

might just do the rounds ~ repco , mitre10mega

all else fails there's ebay

ps: its from germanplates.com but he used a shorter-length euro plate which he had no frame for,

36CM long

I'l say Bunnings could help too. I'm a Mitre 10 Mega man myself, maybe even Ripco?

None of them sell number plate mounts but go hard, it’s your Friday.

I made a rangi mod one with tool box hinges once… looked ok and was hinged so I could pull it upwards when I was doing 300KPH runs on the South Auckland Auto Bahn.

The hinges were mounted inside the intake and the plate could fold under.

the whole point of this was, the front bumper where the plate goes, heightwise only fits a europlate, normal plate hangs off the bottom and looks stupid.

so thinking about just cutting the bottom/top of the plate a bit to make it shorter and call it a day,

anyone got a metal cutter / sander / spare time? lol

dont do that. if you get pulled up for it, you wont be able to produce unmodified plates which will mean youll have to get the car reregistered. a better idea would be to get some europlates imported (seeing as you are just as likely to get pulled over for them), or paint the plate number onto the bumper. just carry your legit plates with you

A little OT but after having a look at germanplates.com and europlates.com...is the price individually per plate or for a pair?? anyone know??

Individually

So they end up costing around 180 euro/us or $300-360NZ for a pair wheras plates.co.nz are $399NZ or $599NZ for a semi personalised one that is legal!

I thought they would be crazy cheap seeing as loads of BS members have the germanplates ones.

Germanplates.com. I priced up a pair yesterday just cause and they're $120 landed here. Don't know where you're getting that amount from Cliff.

Yeah i was looking at germanplates pricing and it came up to about 90 odd dollars for plate plus surrounds and assuming that, that was for one and the 90 was euro or US that was just a rough (very) calculation that it would be about 3 hundy for a pair...that's what confused me
