bravo 35 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 Rear shocks - $37.10 each (needed for weight of spoiler) Painting and fitting – approx. $2000.00 Better not put anything in your boot then if you need new shocks for a spoiler!2g painting and fitting!! Bastards - total ripoff.
CaM 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 bravo, he's meaning the gas struts that lift/hold up the boot, if they're a bit tired then you'd need new ones
bravo 35 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 (edited) oh. yeah I suppose $37 is a bit cheap for a shock. I don't think mine has gas struts on the boot - springs. Did some come with gas ones? I'd have thought mcmillan would charge more than $37 for one of those anyway. Edited April 6, 2005 by bravomikewhiskey
nath 134 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 "Due to the M rear spoiler being heavier than the vehicle’s normal spoiler, your current shocks will have to be replaced with new ones which will be able to carry the weight." -Juanette Geldenhuys Accessories & Lifestyle
Surge 1 Report post Posted April 6, 2005 When we first got the 325i we opened the boot up, and holy dump it nearly took my face off. You could lauch cats from it! The boot had all the drill holes for mounting a spoiler up to it, we didn't know which one the guy was including, turned out to be M-tech 2.. score.
