All E36's need M bodykit, and this type of motorsport wheels. Oh, and lowered.

Not over the top, and still looks nice.

oh and them OEM clear indicator things, not the aftermarket ones that look weird :S

one thing i have found, is that Cheap and BMW are not words closely related(even e36's)...the cheapest and best looking mods imo (sacking and tidy rims) is still going to set you back 2-3k

i think the best cheap mods are as follows:

1. tints- they make almost any car look better

2. wheels

3. lowered (i prefer to keep my car at a comfortable ride height tho, its just too much of a hassle going over bumps and ripping the bumper off etc)

other than that are just things like..

vacuum the inside, wash the outside, wax/polish, clean wheels, clean tyres, clean headlights, hid's, angel eyes (if u want) exhaust system, air filter? etc etc

another thing i like on non-black cars is to get the trims colour matched with the body, i just think it looks alot nicer (but also debatable)

offset and height seems to be the look of most of the favourite e36 thread

Cheap DIY mods?

1. Makita springs. $Mates rates.

2. Camber shims (Thick ass washers) $20 maybe for longer bolts and washers

3. A sexy female in every seat. $Depends on the going rate of roofies/chloro/

Otherwise a nice set of rims and a drop is all it needs. M3 and Schnitzer kits are my fave but the reg kit looks mint with a lip (Like you have on yours).
