dubman 39 Report post Posted September 22, 2010 Just had a read through this --> http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=26859 All of mine are stuffed, so was wondering where you guys get your bushes, and which ones you guys would recommend. AFAIK, there's urethane and the stock (oem) bushes. So what brands do you recommend? At the end of the day, this car will be used on the road as my daily driver, but I will be tracking it and replacing the m40 motor. Thanks in advance. Jacko 2153 Report post Posted September 23, 2010 (edited) Anyone heard of strongflex bushes? Polyurethane, out of poland. Theyre awesome cheap, well for little machined chunks of plastic theyre expensive, but compared to other brands, dirt cheap. Under $300NZ for a full e30 sport (90 ShA ) kit. http://www.strong-flex.eu/ $300 includes 22% VAT, which isnt charged for export outside of EU, so would easily cover shipping... dubman 39 Report post Posted September 23, 2010 ^ thanks for the link, from 5 mins of googling, they seem to be the less costly version of powerflex.
Jacko 2153 Report post Posted September 23, 2010 (edited) Went through the checkout and VAT was never deducted, ive emailed them for confirmation that it should be, will post the reply. Ive only ordered stuff out of Czech and Austria before (toy plane stuff) and VAT was deducted, id expect Poland to be the same. FWIW - Full E30 sport kit, with diff mount and sway bar bushes, with EMS P&P = $462NZ So minus 22% and ya get $362NZ, comes in under the customs and duty fee threshold, so is pretty painless shipping. Lucan 196 Report post Posted September 23, 2010 Mmm could be interested if that's the price! You think they'll do a group buy discount?
djs325 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2010 +1 for Powerflex, try ordering from BimmerWorld (they are the US Powerflex distributors as well). You have a choice of regular (70-75A) or race (90A Hardness) versions of those bushes.
dubman 39 Report post Posted September 23, 2010 ^ whats the ride like on normal roads for 90 grade? harsh or not?
Jacko 2153 Report post Posted September 23, 2010 From strong-flex, hmmm.... Hi Chris, YES, it is possible. If you will import our products as company, then we could sell them without our Polish VAT (22%). The order should be above 1000 USD. Of course you will have to pay your VAT + taxes, please contact your local customs office for details. In other cases you have to pay normal prices (including our VAT). Regards, Chris
djs325 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2010 Not sure, but they worked a treat in the rear end of the E30 I raced at Phillip Island this weekend! Really good control, could make tiny adjustments to throttle and steering to maximise corner speed. You would presume they're harsher than 75, also for driveline noise tranmission as well. ^ whats the ride like on normal roads for 90 grade? harsh or not?
