I paid $1200 for the car.. I would love a 2.5, however I'm off to flight school starting next week so can't really afford to do anything much to it at the moment (maybe if the current engine blows up ). Unfortunately due to being keyed its in the panel shop getting the right side re-sprayed at current, and it is in dire need of a new bonnet due to an infuriating crease in the front of it (from a minor "doh" moment at a roundabout a few weeks back). Eventual plans include possibly mtech1, definitely more low, and moar powaah. For now just trying to keep it tidy... Funny you say that about the bronzitbeige, it seems to get a love it or hate it type reaction from everyone, which is odd cos its hardly an "out there" colour haha. huff3r 347 Report post Posted May 27, 2011 Well how about $400 for the M20B25 I'l even take 100 per week for 4 weeks...! Sorry mate, the student loan only gives me $169 to live off, and I cant get the allowance... However theres a guy with a thread in the projects forum who might want that engine, under the 320i turbo thread..

huff3r 347 Report post Posted May 27, 2011 Hmmm a little nicer than the sick pinto i had in mine haha. And a little quicker no doubt! Back to the BMW however, I picked it up from the panel shop this afternoon and am feeling good about not having foul key scratches on it .

huff3r 347 Report post Posted May 22, 2012 Finally got around to putting some newer pics on the computer. Had to put the standard springs back into the rear as the kings weren't quite captive (only just!), so now has a decent bit of rake. Now with $5 roof racks (genuine pro-rack even ) And in the process of getting a WoF last week. Pretty much replaced the whole steering system minus the reservoir, and steering shaft + universal. huff3r 347 Report post Posted July 21, 2012 Roof rack wind deflector:
huff3r 347 Report post Posted July 21, 2012 Took it for a quick drive, the fairing works great. Doubles as a wind deflector for the sunroof too, although the suction it creates at 100kph makes it impossible to wind the sunroof open. Opens fine at lower speeds though. Now just need a bimmersport sticker to finish it off
dubman 39 Report post Posted July 21, 2012 (edited) great effort, looks good...looks like a snowboard lol Q: where did you buy that bottom rubber strip? Edited July 21, 2012 by dubman
huff3r 347 Report post Posted July 21, 2012 great effort, looks good...looks like a snowboard lol Q: where did you buy that bottom rubber strip? It's 3mm vacuum hose, run a split all the way down with a craft knife. Easy and cheap, and probably a good mm or 2 thicker than most rubber strips. e30morgs 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2012 Roof rack wind deflector: That looks awesome! Did you use black flexi glass? Or paint the clear stuff?
huff3r 347 Report post Posted October 6, 2012 That looks awesome! Did you use black flexi glass? Or paint the clear stuff? Just painted the back of the clear stuff with some satin black. I had some clear leftover from replacing a garage window, using the black stuff would probably be better but it came out sweet anyway,
