Docile 64 Report post Posted February 5, 2011 (edited) im a big fan as well!! would love to own one.. in asia they are like e30 m3s are over here. they are up there with the Toyota AE86. and doesnt it have racing pedigree too? old man used to own one.. so cool being driven to school Initial D = a movie / anime of the AE86. Wangan Midnight = a movie / anime for the 240z. the only 2 cars i know that have their own show. i say 20k for that car and the 35k would be labour and profit?? oh and the engine compartment is huge !! modders delight -> sexy!! antil33t 90 Report post Posted February 5, 2011 Probably has a wife forcing to sell, so jacking the price up so he doesn't have to depart with his baby. also, I was really expecting a flat-peaker special with fat turbz and skidda and ftp stickers. ssbmw 217 Report post Posted February 6, 2011 I am also a fan. Kind of like the Japanese Ferrari Daytona. I have a soft spot for these types of coupes - just love the lines. The thing is, you never know, if someone is hankering for one, and has the cash, they may bring out their cheque-books. There are so very few of them in good condition these days. CamB 48 Report post Posted February 6, 2011 I dunno what the going rate is, but as I saw about 8 lined up today at the Galaxy of Cars (a BMW, Porsche, French and Italian free event it seems) they suddenly don't seem so rare.
Jacko 2151 Report post Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) A mate used to have one, nice and tidy, but 10 odd years ago now with a L28 with triple dellortos. He paid less than 10 for it at the time. Lots of want, wish I bought it off him when he sold it. Edited February 6, 2011 by Jacko

Docile 64 Report post Posted February 6, 2011 its not so much as the rarity of the thing. as there was 100K+ sold by datsun when it was brand new. its the now desirability of the car. for a car older than me.. its one sexy lady once done up nicely wish dad didn't sell his one. Apex 693 Report post Posted February 6, 2011 ^ this. just like this car: 1967 Toyota 2000Gt - a bond car. for sale at a small price of $450kUSD Same designer, the 240z was actually meant to be mass produced by Toyota as a economical version of the 2000gt but they canceled the project and the designer went to Nissan.. Thats what I was told anyways.
Jacko 2151 Report post Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) Same designer as the 507 Goertz is da man, pity modern designers dont have the same style. A camel is a horse designed by committee/bangle Edited February 6, 2011 by Jacko
