BMS 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2011 Here are some pics of my latest steed in progress, motor has to go down and back 100mm to shut the bonnet but wanted to make sure it fitted in the hole first.
BM WORLD 1286 Report post Posted February 6, 2011 nice. I like how is the clearance between the sump and subframe etc?? what ecu etc are you going to run with? my suggestion is use a e34 /e32 M60B** engine loom etc and use the bosch ecu thats used in the early e34 530i 540i e32 730i 740i etc then you dont have to worry about ews etc also the bosch ecu's are easier to remap etc
BMS 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2011 Heaps of room, it needs to back for the front of the sump to clear the sway bar. I'm going to have to move the firewall back a bit and open the tunnel up to fit the bell housing. Then put a Willwood reverse pedal box inside but hey its only cash

Creaver 55 Report post Posted February 7, 2011 Good luck with traction
BMS 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2011 Haha that's why i'm building it traction is over rated. The paxton or vortech blower will eliminate any hope of traction.

Toyota box???? Been doing my sums on importing boxes, keeping an eye out etc. Can be done reasonably cheaply if your on to it and bide your time. Thought about a bit of cut and paste with auto bellhousing myself, just not sure how complex it would be? I'll be watching this thread with interest: Blown Manual M62 E21. Awesome! You might need a diff plan too - small case diffs aren't the strongest.
