up for grabs is a carsoft scanner interface. Is one of those Chinese knockoff's and comes with carsoft 6.5 + SP1 on a burnt cd.

Note : Best to have an older laptop with a serial port , you can get an serial to usb adapters but they are hit and miss if they work.

Works good as gold and I just don't need it anymore as I have moved up to a Bavarian Technic

Has the OBDII connection as well as the Large round 20 pin plug for the older cars.

I used to have one of these until I lent it out and never got it back. They are a very good unit, a scan at BMW is not much less than this, and you get to keep the unit!

reset adaptations , turn certain features off/on (dependent if you have them) , should work on your car no problems.

Probably a bit late, but does anyone else have one of these for sale?Do they interface via a laptop or are they a stand-alone unit? Apologies for the noob questions but I'd really like to diagnose my own problems without dropping 15 large on the full GT1 system!!

Plenty on trademe.

They use a serial port which most laptops have(although im not sure about new ones).

Plently of older PC's have motherboards which you can add an serial port to and you can get usb>R232(serial port) adapters(dont really trust them myself) and PCI-E serial port cards if you dont have one.

borrowed one of these and couldn't get it working on my car, but the laptop has vista and was using a usb adaptor so maybe that was an issue
