Its a 1991 325is Motorsport Evo 1 2.7ltr m20( factory 147kw) , close ratio box , LSD Fully optioned - Leather, sunroof etc. Aswell as the 2.7ltr, the other EVO enhancements are alluminum doors, gaurds and bonnet. m325i 709 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 In NZ pre facelifts are (from waht i have seen), more common. In the UK Mtech 1s seem to be very rare. (they have all rusted away). Looks pretty nice. Grant 4 Report post Posted May 11, 2005 (edited) Awesome car. I take it is started life in South Africa? How long has it been in NZ? Also if I'm not mistaken, it will have the Alpina ECU chip (created especially for the SA 2.7 Motorsports). If anything should ever happen to your car (touch wood it doesn't). I got it for $15000, I thought that was a good score cus I've had two offers of 18,000 and one of 20,000 for it. As far as compared to an M3 i dont know. On paper it should beat one but who knows?? oh yeah, and it weighs 1160kg according to the manual. How would I find out about the ECU, where are they in these cars? (this is my first beemer) The ECU is located near the drivers door under the panel that runs under the steering wheel. (it is parallel to the road, and you will find it by putting your head under there and looking straight up).I'm pretty sure that you will have the Alpina one (it is tuned for the 2.7). Guest Spargo Report post Posted May 12, 2005 Yo, sweet car. There are a few SA 325iS coming out of the woodwork at the mo (cath my drift gus?) Its not a Motorsport. To give it its correct name its a 325iS Evo II. The Evo II bit is a bit of a colloquialism from the SA boys, but it seems to have stuck. What year is it? 5lug and alu panels mean its an Evo II, the Evo I just got the 2.7 Good price too, especially for the goodies it comes with. Top find, where from if you don't mind me asking.
