I feel your pain, just deloomed our whole car.

Where did you get the battery from and what was it worth?

Coming along well.

You may find those 7kg rear springs a bit soft (in relation to the front).

'Generally' E36 rear springs are 20% higher rate than the fronts when installed in the stock (inboard) location due to the high motion ratio.

You could be right there. I just went a a bit softer for hillclimbs and club events were the surface is not always flat.

Can always change if need be.

I got the car going today with a replacement ecu. Its got basic tune so far.

The brakes are a bit touchy, very easy to lock up

Took the car to the SNZ trackday at Taupo on the weekend.

It seem to go Ok, the springs are a bit soft for the track but that was ok as I had some road tyres on it anyway.

Its got an oil leak from around the bell housing, I think it may be from the flywheel bolts

Did you get anywhere with the Nissan pistons? I see some red sock filters there as well, looks interesting...

Yes I have used sr20 pistons. Not the engine in the picture, I just put on the itb's because I got sick of the supercharger whine.

He did a great job - well done Daniel!

Eddie, I am the guy with the e30 who came over at the end of the day and spoke with you for a while after racing - never realized that I was looking at what I had read about on here.

+1!

There's something oddly satisfying about seeing an E36 coupe banging through a corner sideways with gravel tyres on :D Is that your little fella co-driving?

Some of the panels could do with a tidy up, but I thought if he sticks with it we'll get plenty of chances to repaint them haha
