Gasket

When replacing the exhaust manifold, i am assuming the gasget will be dead. Where would i get a new one from

?

BMW dealer....shouldnt cost bugger all

actually manifold gaskets arent THAT cheap if i remember...give them a call and ask for a price.....repco/supercheap may have them......its only a gasket!

Gus, it's not just the gasket, they also have the heat shielding attached to them

Funnily enough i've got a set sitting in my wardrobe just waiting for when I eventually get some headers, they come in two identical pieces, each piece being 3 exhaust ports in length.

They're around $65 each, works out to be $120 for the two with bmwcc discount.

Ouch. Maybe the old one wont fall apart and ill be ok re using it?

They have a list price of $36.50 each (as said you need 2). However the BM Workshop charged my $31.50 each when the put my car back together.

Oh man, I got stung by the $stealer @ $120 :(

I would definately replace your gasket though, it's better to do things when you have the chance, you'll live better for having done it.
