scrape out all the gunk from inside your gaurds then beat on the lip with a rubber mallet. If you need the gaurds to be nearly flat use a roller. Heat it if you care about the paint inside your gaurds( I personally dont and just respray it)

If your gaurds are full of bog things will get really funny which ever way you do it

Depending on how much you need to roll the guard will determine on weather or not you need to remove sealer from between skins. Whats the wheel and tyre fitment and what type of vehicle?

Don't roll your guards. BMW steel very hard, it will crack the paint. To do it properly would require a thorough paint job afterwards. My 2¢.

Nah they can be rolled without cracking the paint. just make sure you heat it enough!

Agreed, the thicker panels make it easier, they take more of a beating, enough heat in the paint/panel will ensure that the paint wont crack 9 out of 10 times.
