cainchapman 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Thanks Emma. I haven't had time to get my hands on a copy (don't ask, tough day). I'll look forward to getting a copy. I'm doing some work the the printer and am hoping to get these pages unbound. Glad to see they're happy with it. Exhaust mods are next! Watch the dyno results and see if they free up some more neddies.
BMW POWER 2 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Here it is Cain. Is DCH 540 just coincidence? Or is it D.Ch (Chapman, D Chapman) 540?
cainchapman 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2005 Thanks again Emma. You're not just a pretty face. Yes, it was originally Dennis Chapman's 540, now it's Debbie Chapman's 540. Had the plate on the car from the start. No-one notices now that the plates have gone to 3 letters and 3 numbers. The stealthy badging! All the cars were named like that. DCHBUS, DCH164, DCH348, DCHTES, DCHVAN. Now gone away from that naming convention now. Must go and order some europlates in the near future. Might be able to go and collect them shortly. cainchapman 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2005 I've succumbed and gone and bought a copy. I'm pretty happy with that. 32kg heavier than spec. I was surprised about the 51/49 weight distribution, that's for sure. Car has not looked better since it was new Andrew, Thanks!! Hopefully, I'm around in a few weeks to take it for a strop around Puke.
E30_318i 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2005 I was reding thru a Wheels mag today (Australian mag). and in 95, they had a 540 against the rattly VS HSV GTS 215kw 5.7 stroker, and gave the nod to the Holden. Anyone that has experience got an opinion on that?

m325i 709 Report post Posted August 19, 2005 So I am confused. When you dial up 5k, dump the clutch, how many lines are behind you?
Palazzo 477 Report post Posted August 19, 2005 One, an oil line marked by pieces of engine, clutch and associated drive train paraphernalia. Try 3k.

cainchapman 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2005 Dragwars Sunday 28th August 2005 Sunday 11th September 2005 Sunday 25th September 2005 I'd say the 25th is best for me, but I can make all of them (in theory). I will have only just got back from trips for the first 2. So if someone wants to organise a day. I'll get there. Andrew, you can't get traction with your current set-up,do you think more horsepower will make you faster? 1/2 strip burnout maybe
