E36 318i factory turbo?

Recommended Posts

318i Turbo

I first dismissed this as someone with no idea what they're talking about, but then there's this photo included on the listing...

Is this something that someone has just made up and put on Jerry Clayton letterhead, or was there actually a factory turbo kit offered??? Seems a bit far fetched but perhaps someone can shed more light on it.

Something it doesn't list is fuel consumptions. I'd imagine the turbo 318i to use more than the 325i no?

Wouldn't mind seeing a picture of the engine bay.

there is now bud. doesn't look overly factory, but maybe its a Jerry Clayton fitted special, similar to the SABMW cars????

would be best to talk to an ex employee of that era?
