ok all the family stuff is finally over

back to the turbo build

i came away from that messy holiday with some money so

sticking to a budget build i brought a meghasquirt 2v2

for 850 all set up for m50 with ignition module to run stock coils

and stock idle valve and

the i found some new 550cc injectors for 250 us

should have em running soon

works been quiet out of a 9 hour day i do about 4 on my own car sometimes more

the cheapest i could find in nz was $75 each

where do you get them

i payed $350 nz inc shipping for Bosch ev14

mega squirt and injectors are installed car is running

now i got learn how to tune

got my hands on a 1wat knock thing with headphones

and a mtxl wideband controller to monitor the fuel

i hve a freand with a bit of no how to

but the thing that is troubling me now is temp gauge not working

now people on the net r saying it has a separate temp sensor for gauge to ecu

but the gauge stopped once b4 and after goggling the prob if fixed it by soldering

some corroded runs inside the ecu

any one got the temp working after installing standalone

Mine still works after installing MS...mines an E30 though

I'd check guage connections are sweet though

can any one recommend a good tuner familiar with megasquirt

it runs not to bad but im to scared to drive it and lets face it iv come to far to just brake it

if someone who nose there sh*t tell you your oil ant gonna get away listen

my bad crunchy

this is were my turbo is now

also don't wast your time with megasquirt link is the way

just needed to hit enter in between a sentence.

what happened? do you mean the oil return line from the turbo?

Turbo was sitting too low, oil wouldn't drain properly. I think thats what he's saying.

Everyone told him from the start it wouldn't work.

if you'd like to flick off the megasquirt i'd be happy to add it to my collection

Hope it all gets running again soon.

Is the top mount manifold a log style manifold?

its the same manifold just modified

and the oil drains in to the front cover

i may keep the megasquirt for another project i have

but i have a perfect power 8 channel sequential ecu there

i payed 600

not going to use it now
