ssbmw 220 Report post Posted February 13, 2013 hmmm nice old rubber, good for only one thing....... hi mate, If I am not wrong, the tyre you are talking about is the metric one that old school M6's came up with. Actually, if the tyre is in good nick, you will find a buyer for it (and the wheel too). Advertise them- some purist will want to have an extra one for their 80's car. Michelin are about the only people who still do the tyres. Even in their day they were hard to get and damn expensive.
BM WORLD 1283 Report post Posted February 13, 2013 most of the old e28 m535i and e24 635csi used the 390mm types. some m635csi used the bigger 415mm type then when the e34 and e32 came out they went to the 415mm type , pretty rare , pretty horible as far as grip goes. but yes could be worth something if its in good nic and has tread and no cracking in the side walls. but most metric alloys just end up as scrap alloy or to hang your garden hose on and the tyres used for burnouts or growing potatoes out of etc. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-559599895.htm
