e30ftw 410 Report post Posted March 28, 2013 (edited) For a manual, yes. From what I remember you'd need custom mounts etc, You can do a m52b28 swap bolt straight in with the right parts. Only custom work is the wiring adapter (easily find a wiring diagram) and the exhaust. Then spend what you have left on the motor like OBD1 swap or suspension, cert etc... Michael. 2313 Report post Posted March 28, 2013 Keep in mind you would have to overhaul suspension, upgrade diff size, brakes and driveshaft with a 316i base. a M50B25 or M52B28 would be an ideal upgrade, expensive enough to do as is. V8 Conversions, 10k+ minium if your to do it properly, better off to just by a 540i in most cases. Most used M60s would need an overhaul of a varying degree anyway, but the same can be said for all 15-20 year old donor engines. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
