325GRANT 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2005 (edited) No one wants a hairdryer on their carare you sure???i know of at least 2 poeple here that are well on the way putting a "hairdryer" on a BMW. and im sure andy can testify how expensive this process can be! so i guess when your willing to part with $000's and $000's of dollars to achieve this you could say some people do want a hairdryer on their car Edited August 24, 2005 by 325GRANT

bumpstop325 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2005 Thats got as much to do with the fact that it weighs about the same as packet of crisps. The latest Atom has the 2 litre v-tec from the Honda Type R Civic, a car that i have yet to see in NZ, its supercharged to 300bhp I think. im going to have a looksie on friday of that car at manfield. It will pwn all. Its just lame doing it properly and from scratch - means i can't drive my car.

bmwsparkle 3 Report post Posted August 28, 2005 superchargers are a ghey gimmickthanks.now everyone here is dumber for having read that. Just ignore cam, he has a slightly bent outlook on things wtf... good one know it all...im just keen for the logical progression and technology, in my opinion, turbochargers are better. had a qoute on here once about how the new bmw motorsport boss likes turbos over superchargers as theres more effecient power to be made out of them. petone 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2005 You can't say one is better than the other unless you know what the situation is and what your trying to achieve, obviously if you car has a real good top end but nothing down low a supercharger makes much more sense, just as if you car runs out of grunt higher in the rev range a turbo would give better results.
