Car build - Evo 3

Well - this is the final build in my car. Will be done in about 3 weeks.

So what have I got:

Full Turner Motorsport JStock suspension to go in. The JStocks have - adj. r sways. front sways. custom springs with custom bilstiens (back ones upside down to reduce unsprung weight). All subframe reinforcements - in fact a very complete kit.

Clutch, SS lines meh - virtually everything new hah.

some more urethane etc.

Going in for roll cage, heads, exhaust, seats + harnesses. tuesday.

My stock clutch that was slipping was f**ked and the pressure plate and flywheel are pretty bad also. So that is delaying getting the car to Herbets.

Pics - like christmas - but SO much better.

All you have succeeded in doing is make me extremely jealous !!!!! Luv those bits :wub:

still a sh*t load of wiring and sound deadening to come out -

get Gus there with his tools listed in a previous thread.... that should sort it !!!

A bit off topic here, but how did u unclip the gas pedal? Did u just pull it really hard towards the left or is there screws and stuff ?

E30 accelerator pedals are held down by clips, I used a screwdriver to pry mine off, the pre f/l and f/l have different male to female clip orientations but the principal is the same

What spring rates? Are they still linear compared to the factory ones, or new driving style needed?

spring rates highly progressive...end up being ~600 lbs front 1000lbs rear.

cost was about 3800 inc shipping n GST for sways, springs,shocks and misc bits

1am finish on a monday. 9am start at uni. awesome.

I so have the most sacked out pre-fl e30. The difference being - there is heaps of suspension travel - and all the springs are captive. Nice suspension rules.

Front camber is f**king badass - looks hot.

Car will be a weapon - even in the slow drive down to Herbet's - it felt cool.

Unsprung clutch is easy to drive with - it doesn't seen too much different.

Got nearly one month at Herbert's now - sh*t loads getting done. Then back out - tad more horsepower - and we are away.

Cage is getting tied down to front/rear shocks. Will look badassness.

Front camber rocks my face.

sacked - and it weighs less than 1000 kg - its gonna be super sacked with extra weight in it.

shocks shortened - within right range of movement also.

Herbets are - doing cage, seats, harnesses, headers exhaust (damn that is expensive - close to 3g for headers and exhaust, they are VERY nice though).

it wont have more travel than stock, but will have plenty. the rear springs are captive too

final build? my ass........wait till we crash it
