keen 6 Report post Posted September 29, 2014 Just a question here. ( probably very boy racer but pretty old for that) I have a motorsport e90 just the 320i version, it has 255 40's on the back . just looking at the car in general and I wondered if I put spacers on the back it would fill the outside apperance a little better. 3 questions 1: How much would this affect the handling positive or negative? 2: Would it be of a noticable improvement visually? 3 : And where do you get good spacers at a reasonable price? qube 3570 Report post Posted September 29, 2014 Good quality spacers wont make any difference to handling afaik E90s have quite wide wheel arches so getting them to stick out bit will do wonders looks wise http://wheelspacers.co.nz I think this website has decent ones but not sure i never used personally Make sure u get it certified because it will 1. Fail wof because it can be unsafe if bad quality and wrong fitment, bolts being too short etc 2. U wont get any insurance payout if they find out that you were running spacers illegally

Boowhup 26 Report post Posted September 30, 2014 Changing the front / rear track width will definitely affect handling Does that count for increasing the track width overall? I can see how it would affect it change one andnot the other.
qube 3570 Report post Posted September 30, 2014 i was thinking of handling in terms of comfort and ride not cornering. i see what you mean though. but i think having the tyres out a bit wider with spacers wont do much harm, rather might make the car ride better and more stuck to the road having a wider width. maybe turning circle will become a mess but how many U turns does one do per year?
