Buying Advice: 2005 VW Passat V6 4Motion Wagon

Hi everyone

I am looking at a NZ NEW 2005 Volkswagon Passat Station Wagon V6 2771cc 4Motion AWD for our work vehicle to replace our subaru wagon which was recently written off.

its done around 160-170kms but its NZ NEW first registered in 2005 September.

Not sure about owners and with regards to service history, assume it doesnt have any.

Anything in particular to look for? going for a test drive soon

VASK is a good place to have a look around.

At that millage you should be looking at everything. Service book will tell a lot. Like any brand, if preventive maintenance has been carried out it should serve well.

The car was suprisingly very nice to drive. Decent amount of power and everything about it felt pretty good. It has had the cambelt done at 130ks.

Ive bought the car after having it checked out briefly at SJ's shop and will be taking it back soon for usual maintenance things to be done.

On another note, looking at a couple of bmw's this weekend!

Most of the passats are great cars, stay away from the W8 Passats tho, they have serious transmission issues

dad said he'd rather have the mercedes so i said OK! lol.. guess it will be my car for a while.. still looking for a bmw.
