Snowflake 39 Report post Posted June 11, 2015 (edited) Car has traveled 70k kms and all 4 wheels have at least some curbing but pretty good condition overall - hopefully you can get a better idea from the pics below Fitted with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Runflats on them - front tyres barely any tread left, rear tyres moderate tread although one has a flathead nail in it - so would suggest the new owner replaces all 4 Staggered Sizing: Fronts - 215/40/18 - 8.5mm ET40 Rears - 245/35/18 - 9.5mm ET40 Price $750 $650 ono Pick up only from central Auckland Edited June 22, 2015 by Snowflake
Apex 693 Report post Posted June 11, 2015 I would say ask over $800 TBH. Nice and rare wheels.
E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted June 11, 2015 Agreed, probably worth more than the $500, but your call! Listing the size and offset might help buyers as well. I take it from the tyre sizes they are staggered width, but the offset is important. GLWS.
Snowflake 39 Report post Posted June 11, 2015 Thanks for the info guys - have amended price to $750 ono Where would I find the size & offset information ?
qube 3570 Report post Posted June 11, 2015 Another member sold his near new condition set without tyres on trademe for $565. judging from his auction it seems that the width is 8.5" front and 9.5" rear http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=894617544 http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/52960-bmw-135i-stock-18-staggeredwheels-for-sale-bargain/ i would have thought $500 (your original price) was about right or slightly expensive considering it costs about $10 per tyre to remove and given the curbing condition. for $750 i would expect wof standard tyres IMO, just a thought
Apex 693 Report post Posted June 11, 2015 Im just factoring in that a few guys use the 135i as Targa/Race cars and could be after a spare set of wheels. And that to buy a set of aftermarket wheels of the same quality would cost considerably more. Worth going for as much as you can and working backwards. I sold my poxi Renault Clio 16" OEM wheels for $500.00, so something like this is surly worth a bit more.
Snowflake 39 Report post Posted June 11, 2015 Thanks for that info regarding sizing and pricing - I am happy to consider all offers. The last wof was in March and all tyres passed then however just trying to be honest and to me the fronts look quite bald Another thought - each wheel would also contain Tire Pressure Monitoring System which new are around $60 each. At least that is what it cost me to install in my new wheels
elmarco 56 Report post Posted June 11, 2015 Is your TP monitoring an aftermarket setup? My E90 uses the wheel rotation variation via the ABS sensors for TP monitoring - thought that was the std now... What's the offset? Could be interested....
Snowflake 39 Report post Posted June 11, 2015 (edited) Ah OK I must've had to pay for the TPMS since my new wheels are aftermarket - ignore my earlier comment Further research shows these specs: 215/40 R18 / 245/35 R18 8Jx18 ET40 / 9Jx18 ET40 5x120 However this link gives slightly different numbers of ET49 / ET52 http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/ - Style of wheel is 261 (M) Edited June 11, 2015 by Snowflake
elmarco 56 Report post Posted June 12, 2015 Whats stamped / cast into the back of the wheels? Are they genuine OEM, not replicas?

Snowflake 39 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 Whats stamped / cast into the back of the wheels? Are they genuine OEM, not replicas? Definitely genuine OEM I recall there were stampings on the back when I was cleaning them but can't remember off the top of my head. BM069 and BM070 were one of the stampings though I will see what else when I get home next
Snowflake 39 Report post Posted June 22, 2015 Bump. Reduced price to $650 ONO Looking to get these out of the garage so put up an offer if keen! Otherwise will try my luck on trademe
EDC 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2015 You still have these? Any idea what they would fit an e91 touring like? Cheers
Gaz 1058 Report post Posted June 26, 2015 Offset is about 10mm higher on the 1 series over the 3 series. Will be very tight on the strut. Unless you have spacers, personally I'd avoid them.
elmarco 56 Report post Posted June 26, 2015 Yup - not quite right for an E90 unfortunately.
