Michael. 2313 Report post Posted August 23, 2015 With such gear I'd avoid the cheaper non brands. The quality and longevity of such a unit makes it a waste of time IMO.
lord_jagganath 421 Report post Posted August 23, 2015 at the shipping cost, you may as well get those head units from a Trademe seller....
Breaker 980 Report post Posted August 24, 2015 We had a cheaper double din one put in a MAZDA while back for about $450 ex trade me. Did work ok, but still feel you get what you pay for. Dynavin has a good name. Personally I'd spend the extra again. Also brought a unit in from UK for the merc, again also works but has had its hassles. M3AN 4016 Report post Posted August 25, 2015 I think you're better off searching/waiting for an Android Auto device (https://www.android.com/auto/) with an upgrade path so you never have to worry about outdated Nav or a propriety, out-of-support operating system. And if it's got a touch screen you need to go brand name or you'll just be in a world of pain.
turbolizard 38 Report post Posted August 25, 2015 And if it's got a touch screen you need to go brand name or you'll just be in a world of pain. Amen to this. I would rather put my fist through an off brand touch screen than have to try and use it in real life.
