Grant 4 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 (edited) This is what happens when you hit a car head on at 80km/h. E30's are pretty strong. A right off though. Note the nice mix of engine oil and coolant....this is the remains, most of it is still on the middle of the road. Cheers Grant Edited January 5, 2006 by Grant
Grant 4 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 (edited) another pic. Drivers door wouldn't open, had to climb out the passenger side. Edited January 5, 2006 by Grant

Grant 4 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Yup, hard as nails I am. Sorry maybe should have mentioned, both I, and the chimp who crossed the centreline around a blind corner in front of me were ok. I has a bit sore for a couple of days, but only a bit of whiplash, and where the seatbelt prevented my face being introduced to my steering wheel. Luckily Brook was about 10 minutes ahead of me in the jeep, so she was neither in the car, or saw it all unfold. The other geezer is being done for careless driving, and as he was uninsured, will be harassed by my insurance company I guess, and will be paying it off at $10 a week or however these idiots repay their damage. Cheers Grant
E30_318i 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Ohh sh*t, sorry to see that, another one bites the dust At least you are ok, and it is reassuring that an E30 can stand that sort of impact, just imagine a jappa in the same situation. Some drunk bitch wrote off my mates old mans car in the middle of the night, and pays off some small insignificant sum each week, 10 or 15 bucks. Thats gotta piss anyone off. I hate to be a bitch ... but if it comes up for sale I'm in need for a donor engine for my car and I'd give it a good home. Bad luck, hope all goes well with the insurance company. BMW POWER 2 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Thank the jerries sh*t that sucks Grant. Glad your ok though, shows what tough wee buggers E30's and their owners are. First knocking yourself out, now this! What are you going to get next? Still going to go for an E30 M3? Bit OT.. but Why are they called jerries? Short for Germans or Jeriactric? (sp?) (I never fully understood this one)
