Idrive systems in my 98 e46

Recommended Posts

Can I get one of these installed? Or would it be too much of a hassle having to change/customize my center console an things like that? Is it even worth it. . also what year do they come factory in BMW?

Short answer is no, your E46 is not setup for it so trying to retrofit would be a very expensive operation.

Anything can be done with no budget, but that really will cost an arm & a leg.

Look into Dynavin or an Android unit rather. More for your money than trying to hack an iDrive unit in. iDrive isn't that great.

You can buy plug and play NBT (next best thing) systems online for all old bmws now, expensive but very cool. Just google NBT in e46 you'll get links to two major suppliers of these systems. Complete solutions that even idiots can install.
