Finally....New 335i Owner

Recommended Posts

Kia-ora!

Previously owned a 2008 325i e91. Loved it. Got the itch for more power, and after scouring the Japanese auctions for a while,

finally got my hands on a 2007 335i e90.

Came in stock standard, apart from some 18" BBS LM's that I was pretty happy with. Will post some photos of the refurb I got done by member Jas, who did a great job, in another thread.

Planning on doing some performance mods once I do some more reading and research, but will keep the cosmetic stuff fairly simple as I want a sleeper!

Better photos to come, once I get the wheels on.

cheers,

Julian

Had a few things done since my first post, so thought I'd update with a few better pictures.

So far, I have swapped out the chrome grill for a matte black one, smoked indicators, matte black emblems, tints, had the wood grain interior wrapped in 3M Brushed Black Metallic, and wheels have been refurbished, powder coated, and wrapped in some new rubber.

Still need to wrap the window trim black, drop it just a touch, and get some angel eyes and then I will begin the performance mods (once the bank account recharges).

Still on the hunt for some black and silver BBS centre caps too if anyone wants to sell or swap for my red and gold ones.

cheers.

Could you post pics of the interior wrap? I considered doing this as the oem piano black trim is stunning.

how much did it cost for the 3m interior trim wrap?

Most businesses will charge between $300 and $400 depending on whether you take the trim out yourself.

If you want to DIY, I think the 3M wrap range is between $70-$100 per sq metre.

did you DIY or take it somewhere? the worksmanship looks spot on!

I had a mate of a mate do it.

From my experience, just make sure wherever you go, that they wrap around the edges. The last place I went to didn't and you could see the silver trim underneath. Looked average.

Good call on the wrap, looks much better than the wood.

And get a new charge pipe before you up the power. Not pleasant to have the stock one explode... it only took the BMW PPK to pop mine.
