FS E36 Semi-Finished Track Hack

Recommended Posts

So after a very long and hard thinking stage, I have decided that I will have to sell this lil beasty due to a growing business, growing family and other projects, I wont have any time over the next year or two to race.
I had thought about storing the car for a sunny day when I may be able to track it, but I just don't have the space now after buying two company cars.

The link below is to the project build, but there are still a few things needed before being able to track,
- Race Seat(s)
- Rocket cover may need replacing. I have removed it and it seems fine, but slight oil leak coming from the back
- Windscreen needs replacing, but I have a spare that will come with the car, best to be done after roll cage as the existing screen will more then likely be removed

- Possible track tyres, the ones on at the moment are not the best for racing

- Front right window needs to be reset, but I will probably do this over the next week or two

All the parts I have put into and onto the car are brand new with approx. 100 meters of drive time on them. Parts include
- XYZ Custom Built suspension from Speed Factor. Build for the track

- Ultimate HeavyDuty clutch kit, with lighten flywheel and pressure plate, also from the lads at XYZ

- Slotted rotors and Hawk race Pads up front, with high heat resistant brake fluid and new master cylinder from Sterlings

- Getrag 220 gearbox

- Leather 14" Race steering wheel and "boss" kit

- Keyless ignition, push start button

- Almost fully stripped interior

- Heater system removed

- Full Service with Full Synthetic Race Oil and Platinum NGK SparkPlugs

- Pod Filter behind front headlight

- Oil Breather

Id like $7000, but then again I don't really know what a "market" price would be on it. So O.N.O applies.
Feel free to come for a view and possible test drive - Ellerslie Area

Yea space is the issue, so id be wanting to sell the whole car, rather then start stripping parts off and having to deal with a chassis that cant really move.

From memory, Speedfactor had the pads and rotors the same part numbers as the 325 / 328

yea it is, especially since it is my first track car ive built / owned. But having 3 other project cars, plus a baby on the way and a business that is taking up more and more time, something has to give and unfortunately its this :-(

I've found s potential E24 I'm keen on buying next week, so to make space for old girl I'll be happy with $6,000 - 6,500 for this.

please note that I will not be stripping any parts off, perhaps a couple of people should buy the car together and then take / sell the parts they want?

Is it iron block or alloy block?

What size are the brakes?

Does it come with the gold wheels or the silver ones?

What tyre make/model/size/tread depth?

What steering rack?

Sorry for so many questions.

Not sure how to confirm iron vs alloy.

293 I think are the brake rotor size, they are the standard 325is sizes.

Comes with the Gold dish wheels, will

confirm tyre details tomorrow.

Standard 325is steering rack.

Youre more ore then welcome to view it ?
