Maybe $600 to $800 at the most.

Depends how how long you want to sit on it.

figures based on my manual E30 320 purchased back from insurer at scrap value for $400 (main damage being exhaust... Long story) and my parts E30 320 also manual that I purchased de reg with nice wheels for $800, it was pov spec though and would have taken a lot of effort to get back on the road.

Get a WoF, get it re-reg and put it on TradeMe for $6k, seems to be the asking price for 318i Autos at the moment.

Previous estimate is about right, depending on what bits and pieces it has.

For reference:

I sold a red 1990 318i coupe, WOF/Rego, 157kms, auto, fairly good condition, IS Lip, noisey tappets, cloth seats....etc for a little under 3k a couple months ago.

There's an M10-powered 1987 automatic coupe in Wairarapa on Facebook at the moment: 400000km, "lowered by Mag and Turbo to stage one" (whatever that means) and more than a few spares.
Asking is $4750.

I'm looking at the two (well, 1.5 ;) ) we have here and wondering what the best course of action is, given Miss M now has an E36.
