ceebee05 1 Report post Posted October 30, 2016 I'm looking for recommendations for cleaning products, BMW's own brand, Meguiar's, Mother's, Autoglym or whatever. Car wash, polish, speed wax, wax, wheel cleaner. Got a gift card burning a hole in my pocket & I would prefer to buy up large in one brand. Appreciate your help. Matth5 471 Report post Posted October 30, 2016 Meguiar's is known for high quality, but not cheap. Having a look through my supplies to see what's work recommending... I'd recommend Meguir's Ultimate Liquid wax. Very long lasting, and one of the easiest to apply. Pricy though. Get a decent automotive glass cleaner, think most brands are fine here really. I have Armourall one and it's fine, no need for anything premium here IMO. Get a spray detailer, very handy for giving the car those quick wipedowns. Meguirs should be good, I've got the Turtle Wax one and it's good though. You don't need to wax the car after every wash, use the detailer for those in-between cases and it'll maintain that 'freshly waxed' look for a while. Leather conditioner if your car has leather, I have Oakwood, it's ok. Not that I've noticed a major difference when using it but I guess it maintains it. For interior surfaces I've got the Armourall one , it's decent on just about any surface and doesn't leave residue or anything. Have the carpet and upholstery cleaner from them too. zero 1162 Report post Posted October 30, 2016 +1 for united car care. If you want something cheaper (although its not as good as the united car care stuff) then buy meguirs.
my_e36 43 Report post Posted October 31, 2016 Not sure what shop's gift card you've got, if it is for BMW dealerships, BMW's own brand stuff are actually quite good. Meguiar is also good and if you know what you are doing, specific 3M commercial detailing product are also good.
