kwhelan 241 Report post Posted November 14, 2016 If like most have found f1 to be a yawnfest this year the last race in wet Brazil has finally produced some great highlights and the season finisher will be probably another procession but the overall winner is up for grabs right down to the last race http://www.formula1.com/en/latest/headlines/2016/11/hamilton-wins-brazil-marathon-to-set-up-title-showdown.html
gjm 3258 Report post Posted November 14, 2016 Hamilton is doing what he must in order to keep his chances alive. (Let's gloss over the multiple 'technical issues' he's had during the season.) Rosberg is doing the bare minimum. Just enough to keep himself in front of Hamilton in the leadership points. Verstappen was imho the star in Brazil. Around the outside of Rosberg in that much rain. Wow. He's got form for doing that to Rosberg of course - he pulled a similar manoeuvre at Beckets during the British GP in July, also in less than ideal conditions. zero 1162 Report post Posted November 15, 2016 Great race, but it should not have started under the safety car.
E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted November 15, 2016 They did try to get a grid start, but Grosjean crashing on the formation lap probably put paid to that! Probably wouldn't have got much further than the third corner before a pile up in those conditions. The conditions, safety cars, red flags all helped to mix up the running order and create more overtaking and excitement. hamilton was in control for the whole race though, shame Verstappen pitted after getting in front of Rosberg and couldn't quite get back there.
