treone 644 Report post Posted December 27, 2016 Been chilin' over the last couple of days and came across this. I'm a bit of a fan of the Wheeler Dealer show and enjoyed this instalment, besides the butchered YouTube editing...
NZ BMW 368 Report post Posted December 27, 2016 "80's dentist car" lol. I really love these old SECs, what a great car they ended up with. Must be honest, with those seats and wood trim they added, I'm surprised they only spent 400 bucks on the interior.
gjm 3258 Report post Posted December 27, 2016 Great cars. This is the coupe version of the saloon we have. The 500 and 560 are siblings. The 560 is slightly lazier, more long-legged; the 500 is more sporty. That said, I find we rarely see more than 3000rpm and even then we're deep into licence-losing territory. Big cars, but with the suspension set up correctly they handle very well and predictably. And for a 1980s V8, they're pretty economical too.
Olaf 3308 Report post Posted December 27, 2016 W126 was car of the year, back in the 80's too. Even in Aus-truckin-falia, from memory!
hotwire 352 Report post Posted December 27, 2016 Always have loved the 500 SEC. The AMG totally transforms it.

Not the best example of the W126, but a great car in it's own right.
