Gorrington 24 Report post Posted June 14, 2019 Got the chance to buy a set of Alpinas for the 540... Got limited info on the wheels, wondering if you guys had any insight on whether they would fit... This is the info I have.. Wheel specs: 18x8 front , 18x9 rear Unsure of offsets but what I can see on the wheels are 8jx18 e47 for front, 9jx18 e38 for rear. Thanks for any help... adro 1083 Report post Posted June 14, 2019 Those off sets look alittle high to me. My Mpars for example are 18x8 et 13 and 18x9.5 et 25. Also you need to make sure the center bore is 74.1 too. PS my Mpars are still for sale ?

KwS 2425 Report post Posted June 14, 2019 Those Alpina sound like they are E36/E46 offset though. Ps, buy the M parallels, they're gorgeous.

I am pretty sure Aplina's for the e39 are e20 front and e24 for the rear.
Eagle 1662 Report post Posted June 14, 2019 They sound like 3 series wheels then E39 offsets are around ET20, so i highly doubt it they will work without hitting fender wells when turning and rubbing on brake calipers etc using the correct size tyres. Even if they worked you'd compromise handling with reduced track and the car would look terrible. Assuming typical tyre sizes in 8-9" you'd need a 25-30mm hubcentric wheel spacers and bolts for the front, and a 15-20mm ones for the rear. This would bring it into spec without and you wouldn't have any issues unless you lowered it excessively.
Gorrington 24 Report post Posted June 14, 2019 Hey guys thanks for the invaluable advice.. Seems they're not going to fit. It's a shame as they're original Alpinas for a good price..
qube 3570 Report post Posted June 14, 2019 I can guarantee they wont fit without work and its not worth it at all. Offset for e39 needs to be around the 20s give or take and centre bore of 74.1 instead of the typical 72.6mm.
