joel 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2019 Dusted off the old E30 last week after many, many years. New battery and off she went. Over the last few days its been getting more and more difficult to select gears (manual box) , and also noticed with the clutch fully pressed it wants to creep forward. Is this the clutch? Does it need adjusting or time for a new one. Cheers
NZ00Z3 187 Report post Posted July 4, 2019 Sounds like it has got a bit of air in the system: - check the reservoir is full - Bleed the clutch at the salve cylinder

E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted July 5, 2019 Slave would be my guess, water pools in there and rusts the bore when not in use. Then when you start using it the hardended seal gets ripped on the rusted bit. Look for fluid dripping from the bottom of the gearbox bellhousing. Easy enough and cheap enough to replace.
