WTB: Brake upgrade for e28 (540i, 750i brakes etc)

Looking for good condition calipers, rotors etc from the newer bigger BMW's for my e28.

Can buy online/abroad but thought to ask here first.

If you don't need them desperate urgently (only cause pouring rain down here) I may be able to get calipers and all the mounting hardware off an E39 540i (possibly rears, might just be fronts, have to check), or everything (front and rear) off an E38 740i - all will be second hand if that's any use?

Thanks for the offer, but sadly E39 and E38 brake parts wont fit an E28!

Hi Guys/Gals,

I would have to check the shed but pretty sure i have a set of 540i rears and E32 Fronts (complete or other way around its been a while) if i remember correctly it was the largest OEM i could fit under 15's without upgrading to porche or big brake kit (10 years ago) on my E28.

I am probably just going to go with non oem brake upgrade next time round as my performance is past the stock brakes or maybe see if my 750il ones fit

I had adapter brackets made to connect the e38 factory brembo brake option 

to fit e28's. rotor is hugh though, from a e60 550 from memory

stopping power was/is quite eye opening.

can't fit all 17" wheels, but will fit all 18's

That actually pretty cool, did you change the Master Cylinder for the brakes too? 

I have to stick to what fits under 16" E32 wheels though!

fitted a e32, 750/ 25mm unit.

if i were to do it again.... there will always be a next time.... i would fit pedals and remotes setup, that way

would be able to increase the pressure/shorten the stroke
