BozzaFC 300 Report post Posted November 11, 2019 Looking to get 2 new vanos solenoids for an M62TU engine to clear a Vanos code and fix a rough cold idle. Only place I can find in NZ is BMW itself, which wants $400 each. I can get them cheaper from the likes of FCP for around $280, but I have come across other brands such as Vaico and Gates selling them for around $170. These are some of the alternative brands sold on ECS, Schmiedmann and Pelican etc. Has anyone had any experience using these brands for vanos solenoids? If I can get OEM, I get OEM, but I also have no problem with buying the cheapest possible part sometimes and seeing how I go.
