MattS NZ 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2020 Hi team I have a 2005 e46 m3, import from the UK. Recently purchased an Avin Avant 4 stereo to upgrade from what I understand is the factory stereo. I started following the instructions but the connectors at the back were not as expected. Does anyone know what these are (in the photos) and how to connect the new stereo? Really appreciate the help! Matt New Avin stereo: https://avinusa.com/avant-4-multimedia-navigation-system-for-bmw-3-series-e46-m3.html

Dogballs 115 Report post Posted July 14, 2020 Hi Matt, you should have ordered the extension cable.. the blue and white plugs are connectors to the audio system located in the boot.
E30 325i Rag-Top 2957 Report post Posted July 15, 2020 Pretty sure the factory bluetooth module for an E46 (if fitted, which is again in the boot) has a connector like those.

It’s similar as in quadlock pin system but connector is larger and terminates with the boot. Dogballs post is on the money.
