Sammo 2593 Report post Posted July 23, 2024 Unfortunately came off 2nd best with an altercation with an i20 😬 Was 2 minutes after its first wash in 3 months too. Only took me 44 years for my first fender bender. Car actually drove a few km home seemingly OK (just felt like the wheel was knocked out of alignment) until I had to reverse it.

Sammo 2593 Report post Posted August 7, 2024 Goddamnit, 2+ weeks to get repairs approved and now a 6 week lead time on parts 😶 Really should have sprung for the rental cover add-on, the E30 is getting all the miles now! 1
Neal 555 Report post Posted August 8, 2024 Man that sucks , damage + insurance delays + overseas order. BMW slow at the moment . My BMW f80 parts took 6 weeks for some items recently.
Sammo 2593 Report post Posted September 5, 2024 Car finally back and better than ever at least - the delay was caused by a wait on a front shock - assuming they only replaced the front left but front end feels a bit tighter now at least.
Sammo 2593 Report post Posted November 30, 2024 Been spending plenty of quality time with the F31 - May not be the most thrilling drive but is bloody practical and looks great. Had the rack bushing replaced again (free repair FTW) and new front tyres - post prang she’s looking as good as new.
Sammo 2593 Report post Posted April 10 3 year anniversary with the F31 and after humming and hah-ing a sideways move to something smaller and zippier like a GTI, have decided its too damn handsome and practical to replace without dropping $$$ and its better the devil you know, so will keep it another few years and treated it to a proper service to set it up for a little while: Oil / Air filter / fuel filter / cabin filter New Valve cover (only electric ones don't have a leak here haha) and breather hoses. Oxygen sensor
M3AN 4049 Report post Posted April 13 Fortunately you got in before a generation of ugly with the 3 series, the F3x still looks really good today. The 2026 looks fine but it's only a slight modernisation which will mean yours will not look 'dated' for some time to come.

I considered a few options, will spin up a thread in the coming days. Yes, still have the M3 and will keep that for the time being, just need to get onto selling the 130i and will hopefully post a FS ad here before Easter is over.
