New to BMW (130i) wellington based

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the site, and new to BMW ownership. Just bought a 2008 130i (not sure if anyone knows this one?).

Looking forward to putting some kms on it, and advise from yourselves on what to do, not to do, and who is best to do in Wellington region

Murray

Welcome Murray and that looks like a nice example.

Don't be a stranger to the 130i thread...

Its the older hudraulic  steering version and lol feels like a gokart

Fortunately all NZDM and JDM models, even the LCI, have hydraulic steering, none of that electric crap.

Is yours manual or auto?

Auto with paddles

Same.

If you get sick of the way the paddles work hit me up, you can rewire them and even change the paddles themselves if you want.

Welcome, @Murray2023 nice gokart.

The BMW Car Club NZ Welly Crew have a monthly pub night - a get-together for a feed, a social beverage or two, and to tell whoppers about BMWs and other topics - all are welcome.  Details found in the Wellington room here: https://bimmersport.co.nz/forum/26-wellington/

We also have reasonably regular coffee meets, runs, overnight trips etc.  Come along, learn more about our active club!
