ESS Tuning N52/N52N G1 Supercharger System (Gen. 3)

Hi everyone,

I'm considering installing the ESS Tuning N52/N52N G1 Supercharger System (Gen. 3) on my BMW 130i and was wondering if anyone here has experience with this setup.

  • Have you installed it on your 130i?
  • What are your reviews or recommendations for or against it?
  • Did you need to make any additional modifications, like strengthening internals or upgrading other components?

Keen to hear any insights, advice, or personal experiences you could share. Thanks in advance!

Id be surprised if anyone in NZ is running that. It's more unique, but i dont see the value where nearly 20k would get you alot in N54\N55 or maybe B58 world.

buy a 135i or m135i 

or swap in a n54 to your 130i

As above, waaay better off keeping the N52 as it was designed (NA), the pistons/rods etc are dainty little things not designed for boost. It'll be way cheaper and more reliable, making more power, to N54 etc swap it.
