tomlnz 0 Report post Posted January 12 Hi All! Have recently picked up this 2016 335d from a dealership in Auckland and I'm having some issues with the dealership we purchased it from. Hoping to find some history of this car so I'm curious to see if any previous owners are active here! Old number plate was DIRTY5, is now QWN240. Once issues with the dealership are sorted, I'm looking to do some tasteful aesthetic and performance mods. Any recommendations highly appreciated 😄 Regards, Tom
Palazzo 483 Report post Posted January 13 Welcome. I’m sure that plate is familiar. Hopefully someone here will recognise it.
Goose 45 Report post Posted January 13 I’m not 100% sure, but the below post may have been this car? https://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/69316-family-wagon/
balancerider 785 Report post Posted yesterday at 02:13 AM @tomlnz car discussed in thread above. Hopefully you can get issues with dealer sorted. Wouldn’t be surprised if this particular one has already been mapped. I have a 335d as well and would be inclined to run it stock for a bit before going for a remap as IMO it isn’t really required. Would change diff oil and maybe transmission flush at that age / mileage - xdrive breaking (which seems much more likely with a remap) will run several thousand to fix. Regular (ie. non 2 year / 30 k km) oil changes are a must. Some people are keen on lowering them due to the stock xdrive suspension being high (Eibach are springs of choice) but then the transfer case is in the firing line on non sealed roads eg ski wagon usage. Neil McCauley 402 Report post Posted yesterday at 05:01 AM +1 on stock mapping. I've gone back from 790Nm to stock on a 335d and you honestly don't miss it in the real world. Throttle controller is nice to have when you're in the twisties but pointless day to day.
