bumpstop325 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2006 the more you fight the power, the stronger it becomes. it feeds on the negative energy and will prevent you from watching 'the crowd goes wild' on prime. or while that programe is on, you should watch porn, at least its more real and you can learn stuff. i just watched the 9th ep of the 2nd season of weeds. more sex and drug abuse than any hospital. i dont know what shortland st is. Never seen it before.

kerrynzl 3 Report post Posted October 12, 2006 I'm proud to say that in the 15 odd years that this crap has been invading our living rooms, I haven't sat through 1 complete episode [i've caught a glimpse thru the corner of my eye now & then] Rumour is that if you watch this sh*t, you might dematerialise and transform into a suburban neurotic The plot is easy to predict on these things [some Hypochrondriac Whiner, on some sympathy trip, has an affair with some Medical staff, they hang out in a Caffeteria and the Bitch behind the counter knows all the gossip] Hey It could be worse, your missus could be watching "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy" ,You could end up with a Mauve [whatever that colour is?] Shirt for Xmas
ThreeOneEight 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2006 My 15 year old brother, a fine imparter of wisdom, had something to say about 'Shortland Street' and 'Friends', two excellent examples of television catering to the lowest common denominator. We were watching the news, and someone was doing something idiotic, I cannot recall what. Anyway, I turned to my brother and asked, "Why would they show that on the news? Stupid people will just copy it won't they?" He said to me, "No, Will, all the people stupid enough to copy that are watching Friends and Shortland Street!" Wise man. bravo 35 Report post Posted October 12, 2006 wise beyond his years that young man! I watch maybe an hour of tv a week max. And it is invariably motorsport or similar. I would watch more, but I actually don't have the time. too busy doing useful things with my time like pulling apart e30's.
Carl 3 Report post Posted October 12, 2006 I have enough time to watch prime news, and anything after 10pm, which invariably leaves the night news.

E30stz 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2006 (edited) I was neglected as a child. It wouldnt appeal to those old coggers out there as was after their time, I think Coro street is probably an equal or worse comparison that hte old farts will relate too. Now watch the heads turn. It has its ups and downs, nothing really better to watch around that time, but no shiz I saw my car parked in West Auckland on their once.. worse yet hte person nearly hit it . Speaking of BMW's on tv .. did anyone hear about that couple found dead in west auckland, apparently the husband was found in his car. He had a E32 7 series with numberplate 10SPRO (tennis pro) .. any link to these forums ? Edited October 16, 2006 by E30stz
