Andrew 30 Report post Posted January 7, 2007 Hi all - Have now finished fixing up the car to a point where I think it is OK. Could still do with a bit more tuning at light throttle - but at least it isn't spewing out oil and boosting weerdly. Have old pics here - will grab some new ones tonight before I whack it on trade me. Anyway; Cosmetic: NZ New 1990 318iS Coupe in Brilliant Red All iS options - black headliner, Recaro seats in tartan like pattern. Illuminated gear knob, Illuminated (orange) VDO Boost/Oil Pres/Oil Temp gauges. 15" Weaves. iS front lip. Mtech1 sideskirts Mtech2 wing. Smoked indicators. Badass mesh instead of headlight for air intake ///M spraypainted Cosworth intercooler. Power windows. Mechanical. M42 motor. JE forged pistons. Mosselman M42 exhaust manifold/intake boot. Garret T3 Turbo from Sierra Cosworth - Internally WG. Sierra Cosworth Intercooler. Motec M4 ECU. Individual coil direct fire ignition. Electronically controlled boost (from Motec) Quaife Limited slip diff. H&R springs with Koni Single Adjustable Shocks. Too many mechanical mods to list in detail. Stats: 165 rwkW @ 13 psi. - shitloads of torque (350 Nm , dyno dynamics dyno). Possible mid 13s 1/4. Have run 14.00 on much less power/street tyres. Potential for much more power with slightly different turbo/intercooler setup. Mileage is irrelevant to this car as it has been rebuilt. But I think the odo reads around 170k. It has been 100% reliable and is extremely quick. A baffle is rattling in the exhaust - but the large exhaust leak has been fixed and the car has been tuned correctly by Gavin Bellars @ Hi Velocity. Car is extremely tidy - has a rusty sunroof (like they all do) but there is no other rust in the car. Asking $15500 o.n.o You could not build a car like this for anywhere close to that price. Serious offers only. Contact me on - 027 622 5051 or PM.
