Do they have to be euro style? Do they do normal sizes (eg direct replacements for the ones NZ use)?

hey, just stumbled on to this topic now...

The prices mentioned here seem quite high..

I have a friend here in England who has just started a business making these plates.

i've not bought from him as i don't have a car here, but AFAIK his are only 10 Pounds for a set.

quality is good, but they are the Plastic style ones that they have in the UK, not metal...

Have a look if you like, and If you're interested I can see if he'd be able to give a discount for a group buy...

this is his website - http://www.platewerx.co.uk/

Price of getting a die made and all the inserts would be pretty costly.

I'd be interested for typical euro plate, black on white with the D on the left.

You're estimating around $108.00 was it? U reckon i'd get f**ked on by the law if I ran white on black? haha I think i should stick with standard D though

you're less likely to get caught with the white looking ones but at the end of the day, regardless of what format you get, they're still gonna want to ping you for them. $200 a pop.

Yeah I'm fairly sure it won't at the back. Does anybody have the dimensions of a german plate with no spaces, 6 letters?

I don't think it will fit either so if not I'll get a white on black, no stickers instead of the second, so one white and one black.

Ok here's my order:

1x white plate, black text, Letter D on left - text FMN675 (no space)

1x black plate, white text, - text ALPINE

So in total 2 plates, because a euro won't fit the back of my car so I'll just alternate them at the front.

Cheers

Okay so list is looking like this, and the sets are going to cost NZ$50 to your door. Tristan, yours will be slightly more together than everyone elses because it has to be processed as two seperate orders. you will save only about 5 or 10 by getting the one plate instead of two. are you sure you want just the one??

Also, will be PMing the people with ??s to make thier mind now. thanks

So wait how much will:

A) 2x Black plates with white text - ALPINE

2x White plate with D black text - FMN675

B) 1x Black plate with white text - ALPINE

1x White plate with D black text - FMN675

I don't really understand what you're saying. My interpretation is that B would only be like 10 bucks cheaper than A? So i may as well get A?

What are your estimates of cost?
