small update , had the car with gavin at hi velocity had the ecu remapped to suit the new headers and exhaust sorted out the dips in the midrange , fueling and timming sorted etc runs a bit smoother now , pulls strong from 3k rpm all the way to 7k rpm now doesn't flatten out like it used to at about 6000rpm etc peak torque around 4500rpm to 5500rpm peak kw around 204rwkw , but saw 211rwkw but that is maybe not refigured etc ?? pretty happy with the result std m30 535i engine make around 110-120rwkw std m88 engine around 150-160rwkw so not bad improvement over stock. making similer power to a well set up e36 or e46 3.2L M3 engine but at about 6000rpm not 7000rpm just need to sort some better rubber now :S

This has got to be the best response. I totally agree. My Jap import E39 that I bought in myself in 04 is been a great car. Highly specced, low documented milage (24k) & service history, was 4.5 yrs old at the time. Done 140xxx kms now with only consumables having been done. That said - have seen many horror cars from Japan through work, along with many more good ones. BMW's included in each catagory. Equally, depending on car, it's time in Singapore, service history, I have seen good Singapore imports too. Adding to, NZ new aint the golden egg either - there are plenty of kiwis that don't know what servicing a vehicle means...

Finally got around to picking mine up today! It's built well, very sturdy, the lightning cable fits snug as intended and the black plastic blends in pretty well with the other parts of the trim. I ghetto wired mine up to the stereo for the time being as I'm not always using bluetooth. Excellent piece of kit for the price! Excuse my dirty interior, with exams I just havent had time to clean it up

Some consideration i think must be given that 20-30 years ago when men were men a young could might happily look at a cheaper run down place and do it up diy. He can fix the house and she does gardens etc. Now first home buyers want a renovated house in good order ready for them to turn up and plug in the coffee machine. something thats never been that affordable really. If you arent handy the cost of builders is too high these days to get a crap house tip top. Bring back proper education in schools i say.
