I had a bad day yesterday- not work related I'm still recovering from pneumonia and my energy levels are quite low... and NO Nathan, I wasn't at the pub, never been there for years. Went home to sort out some wiring in the Motor Home after having a new satellite receiver fitted. They did a pretty good job but not to my standard. Next time you want to run me out of coolant Nathan, ring me first. I can do a better price than that for you. Thanks for the kind words up there^^^^ guys. Appreciate that I'll close this thread

I'm really starting to feel why I bother coming here to help and support this community anymore. It's been a journey I have enjoyed to a large degree , but my priorities have changed with adult children and grandchildren. I also don't have the passion I once had and I enjoy more the lifestyle of motor homing in the Mercedes Motor Home. My project Compact is also for sale if anyone is interested and at this stage it's not going on Tardme. I also don't want to be insulted by lowball offers by retards that I've had in the past. I feel I want to continue to help, but the passions not there anymore. Too many face book jokeys and google copy and paste experts who I'm not really interested in arguing with. For those that don't know, sponsors on here , like myself pay a monthly fee to be here. We offer free advice and give discounts and sometimes we don't even get thanks for what we do. Iv'e met lots of great people here and quite a few other types of people I won't mention. It's been a great 10 year trip, but I'm unsure whether I'm interested in continuing Kind regards to all of you out there

You really need to get this scanned with a proper scanner and by a person who actually knows how to evaluate the fault codes correctly and has an understanding and experience dealing with this model

Hi guys, I recently purchased Charl's E46 M3 which came with the personalized plate M3 TOY which I won't be needing - a bonus is that it's a black europlate. $1000 ono

the wrong kind of excitement, eh? Glad you're here to complain about it, Barry. The 'Takas could be a challenging place for a blowout. Indeed, it appears they're not runflats; the combo of rim and tyre was supposed to give better performance for the (comparatively) lower profile, and be less-likely to peel off the rim in failure. There was (apparently) a TDX (different rim and bead profile) that gave some runflat capability. cheers

Ron the STrT's are non adjustable but are designed for lowered vehicles, my research says they are firmer than stock shocks. Having driven a few M Sport E90's I am pretty happy with how they handle, I would just like a little less roll and looking at the diameter of the rear sway bar I suspect it starts there. Koni yellows would be better no doubt but I also want some extra horsepower and perhaps a LSD as well, only so much money to go round.

If you haven't, and / or someone else hasn't diagnosed what the actual noise or problem is, do you think it's wise to start blindly pulling things apart without knowing what the fault is ?? You may find you start introducing more costly repairs by not having the experience or tools to carry out this work to a reasonable standard. 99% of a successful repair is diagnosing accurately what the problem is first before you pick up a tool to repair the fault.

^^ listen to Nathan, he knows from experience. Think of a lighthouse... they're there to warn you away from the rocks, prevent shipwreck. That's what this thread is like. You've got the Sirens, enticing you to the rocks with their beauty... and the lighthouse breaks your reverie.

Yup. Today I moved on from evisceration to complete disembowelment. Top tip - don't shut the boot on your E46 wagon when the battery is disconnected.
