I removed the 20s and on went the OEM M3 Style 24 17x7.5" wheels They need new tires all around, as 245 cheapies on the back and 215 semi slicks on the front is a bit weird looking ( and the tread is low all around). Will be going OEM 235/40 all around.

Not sure if this as ever been posted before, but came across these today and thought it was rather good read with excellent high resolution photos. Before the mighty M3 GTR was born ... Apologies if it is repost https://roadscholars.com/current-offerings/public-stock/2001-bmw-m3-e46-gt-sold/ https://www.bimmer-mag.com/issues/126/articles/first-and-last-of-its-kind#.XDcHpqTRWEe

Well it has been a while, but after my accident, and not allowed to drive my truck again, I have spent some time on the e38, and redone the interior, redone the hood lining, put leather seats in and they are all working, other doorcards, welding in new pieces on the boot, and than I will be putting in the reconditioned motor

Do you have an aftermarket head unit, laser detector or alarm or anything like that? I've found most installers of such things to be so careless it's shocking. Also, if it's an import it may have been pulled apart to install transponders. But I don't think it's age, most likely carelessness on behalf of a PO.

Ok I couldnt wait for my parts so i went on a road trip to pick them up from the courier depot, I battled into the night doing a solid 8hrs but it was well worth it to hear her fire into life. I did a video of the first start but cant add videos to this forum? So now im just waiting on the new drive pulleys and shes done, it feels like its been way too long, cant wait to get her back out on the open road!
