E30 trailing arm bush replacement
oscar90 replied to oscar90's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
haha ehhh solved, had a bit of a moment..had the metal sleeve inside the bush from when i was inspecting/mucking around haha took it out, started the bush in then put sleeve back in away I went with my super awesome E30/mazda rx7 s4/s5 trailing arm bushes Also glad I wont have to do this again in quite some time! -
hey fellas! I am replacing the trailing arm bushes today, read afew DIY's and used a threaded rod with washers etc...that pressed the old bush out fine... awesome! Now ive greased up the new bush and it wont go in right, like its pushing one half in more than the other due to the rod being off centre, so i cut the old bush in half and used it to "centre" the rod..this didnt seem to help much, Im still getting half the bush started and the other half wont push thru, like it catching, so i cant get the bush started into the arm so I cant press the whole bush thru, I dont wanna have it catching and flexing/bending heaps and keep trying to crank the bush thru since it obviously doesnt wanna go thru. Advice/what youve done/help Thanks in advance! Andrew

Ive got E28 engine mounts and have been told it'll bolt up and fit M50 to E30...but then keep seeing E36 arms popping up everywhere, whats the deal? have you noticed this in your searching? Looking good btw! your so orginised haha can't wait to see the final product!

So after all my trouble over bushes I get my trailing arm bushes after all, someone cocked up, the bushes will be here tomorrow. yay! put the solid bush in the diff, brought a new front lip off another local member, and just today burnt out the subframe bushes for the new ones Hopefully be able to test the LSD in the weekend Got a bitta rust killing to do also to keep me busy all the while still researching M50 stuff, plan is to do head gasket, studs etc and swap it in N/A and have it running(keeping stock compression or as close as with the headgasket) and will see how it goes, then save save save and turbro it later so i do it properly and dont cut corners...spread the cost over time also The money shot of the day Still gotta do short shifter, havent looked into it...is it hard? haha

Hey guys currently doing the rear bushes on the E30, How has everyone been getting the two subframe bushes out?? has been suggested to burn them out which sounds good to me... will this effect/alter the strength of it or can I get a torch and just burn them no worries? Andrew

Hey guys I'm currently looking for some secure storage I can access whenever to put a car and some car bits in. Basicly anthing lockable with power for a radio/light/drill...no welding or any of that power sucking sh*t, So standalone double garage, shed, barn etc Want it within 10mins driving distance of Rolleston realisticly or it'll cost more than its worth haha Let me know if any of you guys know or hear of anything from mates or family members, Will even mow your grandmas lawns if it somehow sweetens a deal ... no dirty comments! Don't wanna do a proper storage place cause I dont wanna be locked into a contract/time period, would rather fund someones ciggys/booze/HP etc Cheers boys, Andrew

http://www.google.co.nz/images?hl=en&q...sa=N&tab=wi Like any other recaro it'll have wear on the side bolster where you get in and out Great seats, got some in my E30...heaps better... use some angle iron (90degree) and u can make E30 to EvoIV adapters easy.
